Lake District Landscape Photography

You will be exploring the beautiful lake of Grasmere, a small lake at only a mile long and half a mile wide, it maybe one of the smallest lakes but it packs in a lot of amazing photography opportunities.

There are only 4 places on this course, a unique small photography group experience, which includes breakfast and lunch.

Landscape photography is a ‘slow sport’, so even though the lake is small we will take our time exploring a particular location and lingering a while to watch the light move across the landscape.

When on location, Ian will be on hand to assist and guide each member of our small group, regardless of whether you are at the start of learning about landscape photography or you are at a more advanced level.

Ian will bring a range of Lee Filters for you to use and explore. During the day we will explore long exposures, hyperfocal distance, making sense of your histogram and understanding what makes a good composition.

We will meet for breakfast (included) at 9am at the Daffodil Hotel to get together and to have a a short talk before we head out for the day.  The workshop will finish at 6pm. You can park for free at the hotel.

There are good paths around the lake, so just make sure you bring strong shoes and outdoor clothing. We will stop for a light lunch later in the day (included), but feel free to bring any sustinance you may require.
