John gave us a call, he wanted to learn about Landscape Photography, he came into our office in Chester with his Canon EOS 7D and his selection of lenses. Once we had looked at John’s camera, chatted about his selection of lenses we had coffee accompanied by chocolate Hob Nobs an essential start to our day of photography.
John had a lens that he had been having trouble with, it was a Sigma 70-200 f2.8, so that’s where we started. After twenty minutes of faffing around we realised that the auto focus on the lens was faulty, up until this moment in time John had been blaming himself, he was relieved and the lens was sent for repair.
After that quick set back we walked into Chester, looking for landscapes, we explored all of the different settings on John’s camera including picture profiles, aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
It was a fantastic day for photography, the sun was shining and it was warm, and we enjoyed a brilliant lunch in town.
We offer Landscape Photography lessons in North Wales, however John wanted to explore the landscape opportunities within the town. We also had a play with long shutter speed and off camera flash, it was a great day, well done John, they are great shots.
